Message You're right about the part that I'm not overly concerned about the innovation concept. I've already mentioned that in a sordid way. The practice of re-engineering of an existing product is something a number of sponsors here do which a lot of members (for some unknown reason) seem to knowingly turn a blind eye to or dismiss as being different than what AMS does. Again, that's fine and that's their choice to believe that.
Bernie, I'm not a member of AMS. When it's the only Z32 facility within a days drive, there is very little options for me. I don't think I've bad-mouthed you in any way? I've recommended your services publicy on Forums for peope in your geographic location when it was applicable. I always offered a kind word and friendly gesture numerous times at all of the events we see each other at but for the most part those greetings are met with indifference. I see that you can't see past pre-concieved perceptions of people and choose to maintain some sort of bitterness, and that's a shame. It won't stop me from acknowledging you in the future, as I believe I'm above that sort of pettiness.
I don't work for AMS, I don't get paid by AMS, I get no free-bees. Maybe I should show you my receipts of the bills I paid for my rebuild. They're not cheap by any definition.

If you're tired by the comments aired by Vuk than take them up with him, NOT ME. You're line of thought of "guilty by association" is a little archiac and doesn't reflect well upon you. Isn't there an expression or term for that sort of mind-set?
I try to take in as many Z events as I can during the driving season. Vuk does the same as well for business purposes of course a he's a major sponsor. Since I have to pass by where he lives/works it only makes sense to join in with another Z enthusiast for the long trips to those events. I was not able to partake in the NY trip and on a number of occasions I didn't travel with AMS. For example, the trip to ZCon 08 I travelled with the S30 folk from ZEDFINDINGS. On the return trip from ZCon 09 I travelled back with another S30 group to Ontario. On the trip back from ZDayZ 09 I again travelled back with another group. When I'm at the different events - ZDayZ, Z Nationals, ZCon etc, you won't find me hanging around the "AMS group" during much of the event and in fact I never go out on the town with them on their adventures - NEVER!!!! I do however park my Z near their small booth/display when there is one at the events as it's an opportunity for others to see some of AMS's products installed and ask questions. A favour I'm glad to extend. A favour I'd gladly extend if I sported other vendors products, by I don't and I've already explained the cost-prohibitive nature reasons for that. Because I don't share similar mind-sets or views on AMS's practices like you doesn't make me a bad person like you paint me out to be. It makes me different and thank God I can exercise that right of freedom of speech and thought. Something I'm sure you can accept (or at the very least understand). I will not try to invoke that mind-set or perspective on others. Hell Bernie, you're thread on the pulleys should show that clearly enough. Have you forgotten that already? I followed your measuring technique wrt the WP Pulley and came up with the same measurement as you did. I publicly posted that finding. I have completed nearly 30k kms on that pulley install and there's zero indication of negative effects. If issues do arise I will surely address them in my fashion. Because I didn't come to the same conclusion as you doesn't make me a bad person, it makes me different. Are you that stringent in the way you view situations, the world and others that there's no room for individuality, no room for personal interpretation, no room for personal preference other than your own? Do they all have to be of one mind and one belief? Yikes, I pray that day never happens.
You bring up stories about Geg (Pexzed) and his pulley and seem hell bent in finding detailed info and history as to AMS's origins for theirs. What did Vuk say when you emailed him those questions? Did you even email him those questions? Yet when I bring up similar stories for SPL's FUCAS and RUCAS, 300Degree (Border Racing) Fuel rails, I'm given the impression or am lead to believe "but that's different" and I ask myself, how so? Was their a collaboration between 300 Degree and Border Racing like there should have been as you describe between AMS and Pex? Was there a collaboration between Midori and SPL? Was there a collaboration between Matt and SZ wrt the SZ900 Kit? For some unknown reason I don't believe there was or at least it's not public knowledge. And isn't that what all of this is about? The inexplicable need for yourself and others in your sphere to want to know the inner business dealings of AMS. Perhaps as people say, we should look in our own back yard before we point fingers at others. Sure, if you have that burning desire to know those intimate business details, than as I said umpteen times, ask AMS directly. Don't ask me as I'm not 100% privy to all of it, and even if I did have details on some specifics, it's not my place OR CHOICE to share them. Whatever the case, it seems that because you feel I have all the details about AMS and that I do not share those details that for some reason I must be AMS or at the very least - one of the bad guys. What kind of logic and scrutinizing process do you use for people. I had no idea that you held me in such distain. Even so, it doesn't deter me from offering a kind gesture in passing if I happen to see you or Ashley or any of your close friends that I've met in the past from here. It's who I am. I was fortunate to meet and chat with Joe (Speeddracer) at this years ZDayZ as wel as Mitch and a number of tt.net others like Tim and Brett. They were all a lot more friendlier. I got to meet Tu and Mike (collegeboy) this time around at ZCon 09. Again, it was great to meet the people behind the SN.
There was one situation however that was a little unsettling. I went into one of the garages at last year's ZCon (Mid Ohio event) where you, your dad (the resemblance is uncanny) and I suspect a few tt.net hardliners were. I came in to meet and chat with you guys but all I got was a cold shoulder. Basically it was similar to schoolyard situations where the whole crowd dummies-up, ceases their discussions and pretends you're not there or even acknowledging your presence. That I found disturbing and sent a somewhat discouraging message. Nevertheless, I didn't and still don't hold onto to those sort's of situations as negative baggage to later use as ammunition. As you should recall, I always offered a kind word in passing at ZCon 09 even though it appeared you chose to not acknowledge it most of the time. That's fine, your choice. I was hoping we could have had some great talks or discussions on various topics as you appear to be a very intelligent person who's obviously very knowledgable about Z32's.
At any rate, I'm sure this is not the answer you're looking for and as you've already eluded to, not the sort of thing that I should elaborate on. If you don't understand why or can't accept my reasons, than that's a shame as I give you more credit than that. I hope you can understand in some sort of small way though.
Cheers.
